About the event

Known as Yoga’s “sister science,” Ayurveda is the world’s oldest system of health and healing. This time-tested, nature-based wisdom empowers us with principles and practices to maximize our existing health and prevent the onset of future “dis-ease.” Ayurveda uses nature’s basic elements (space, air, fire, water, and earth) as a foundational framework to understand everything we see in the material world including the design of our unique body/mind constitution. By observing ourselves through the lens of elemental qualities, we learn how the seasons, weather, physical environments, emotions, food, relationships, and all life activities impact our constitution – how they support balance or lead to imbalance within our own unique organism. This deeper self-awareness can lead us to better life choices and combined with Ayurvedic practices, improve our overall physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
